Theatre Bacchus is a BRAND NEW professional theatre company in the heart of Niagara’s Wine Country. And what better name for a theatre in wine country than Theatre Bacchus, named after the Roman god of wine and theatre! Ultimately, Theatre Bacchus will make its permanent home in the Town of Lincoln and will strive to be the greenest theatre in Southern Ontario in its building and operations. Other aspects that will set Theatre Bacchus apart is its emphasis on creating a full experience for patrons. Doors will open two hours before a performance for patrons to enjoy music and art by local musicians and artists, as well as wine, signature cocktails and tapas called “Bacchus Bitesâ€. We hope to partner with local wineries/distilleries/breweries to feature their wines, beers and sprits during the run of each of our productions. The theatre will remain open two hours after each show for patrons to meet the cast and relax and enjoy a drink or coffee and discuss the show. The overall idea is to create a hosted experience for theatre-goers that they might now get anywhere else. In the meantime, we hope to collaborate with wineries, breweries, distilleries, etc. in the Niagara Benchlands to bring our professional theatre productions to them, and create amazing tourism experiences. We welcome any business that wants to enhance their customer experience by adding an outstanding theatre production to their season to reach out to us!
